The Guardian Center is a 120 bed nonprofit nursing facility consisting of 2 buildings connected by a glass corridor overlooking a courtyard. The original one story building opened in 1961, currently a 41 bed secured Alzheimer unit and has 11 private rooms. The main building of The Guardian Center was opened in 1971 under the name of The Lutheran Home of Brockton, which currently cares for 79 residents. Recent renovations of these units consist of - Alzheimer Unit (1st floor) 41 beds to accomodate short and long term residents (2nd floor) and 38 skilled nursing unit with a dedicated gym (3rd floor).
The interior brick decor throughout the main building is what makes this home unique and beautiful. The first floor of the main building consists of staff offices, the beauty parlor/barber shop, dining room with access to the main courtyard, recreational area, kitchen and a conference room which may be used by families wanting a private dinner or Birthday party.
We promote an atmosphere of individuality, respect and dignity to our residents as well as peace of mind and understanding for their families. It is our philosophy to encourage an environment of team-work among our staff and the understanding of our mutual goals to give excellent care and provide the finest place to live for our residents. One way we have accomplished this is through the adoption of two cats that reside on the second floor.
The Guardian Center has a dedicated staff of caring professionals. Our trained team provides 24-hour care and services to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our residents. |
